Further Details
Food & Drink
Canapes will be served after the wedding ceremony, followed by the Wedding Breakfast (menu below), tea, coffee and cake. A snack will also be served in the evening. For more information on timings, take a look at the Order of the Day on Wedding Day. If you have any specific dietary requirements that we need to know about, please make sure to mention them in the "Food Restrictions" section of the RSVP form.
Dress Code
This is, of course, a formal event so don your best winter black tie. The Scottish weather is unpredictable but one thing we can be sure of is that it will be chilly in December. Borthwick Castle itself will be warmed by a great many fireplaces but for travelling to and from the venue, make sure to bring something warm.
A Note on Gifts
We are very grateful to all of you for coming to our wedding, especially to those who will be travelling from afar. Please do not feel obliged to get us anything but if you do wish to buy us a little something, we have set up a registry where you can choose which fund to contribute to. The link can be found here.
Guests & Little Ones
Borthwick Castle has a very strict limit on numbers so unfortunately only those listed on the email invitation can attend. As much as we would love to celebrate with our wider network of family, friends and their children, we are bound by the venue's health and safety regulations. We appreciate your understanding.
